Pia and Musto Agree to a Clean Campaign

David Pia and his opponent, Anthony Musto, D-22nd, had lunch today and each agreed to a clean campaign. “This is a positive step forward for all residents – people want to make a clear choice based on the candidate and their goals, not negativity” declared Pia. Pia humored that the two had their first argument over who would pay the lunch bill.

A light at the end of the tunnel?

Recent publications by the Connecticut Department of Labor show the 5th consecutive month of positive employment growth for the state of Connecticut. Despite an overall decrease in employment in the last year, there has been a substantial increase in jobs since December. Seasonally adjusted, there has been an increase of 5,200 jobs in the month of May. The unemployment rate has also ebbed down to 8.9%, compared to a national rate of 9.7%. Read More »

Keep the Trains

According to today’s Connecticut Post, the MTA was considering eliminating three Metro-North trains to reconcile major budget deficits. These three trains include two between New York (Grand Central Station) and New Haven, making local stops (Greenwich, Darien, Stamford, South Norwalk, and Bridgeport) in Connecticut. Also included in this cut was the last nightly express train out of Grand Central. Read More »

Meet David Pia
Born in Stamford, David has been life long resident of Southwestern Connecticut. David has been an active member of the community throughout his life. After rebuilding his grandfather's appliance business and raising his family, David continues to give back through his civic associations as well as his own personal initiatives.
